What Makes a Watch Tick? Replica Watch Anatomy:
First things first. Know the basic anatomy of a watch and you’ll know how to break it down into it’s essential parts. That way you can ask yourself:
• What kind of movement does this watch have?
• What markings/engravings does this model have?
• What materials are the dial, bezel, case, and bracelet made of?
• What functions does it have (chronographs, time zones, water/pressure resistance, compass, automatic winding etc.)
• What kind of bezel does it have?
1. The Movement/Mechanism

The Movement/Mechanism of a watch is it’s single most important feature.
2. The Markings/Engravings

The Markings/Engravings are the details that set good replica apart from bad.
3. The Materials

Materials: Knowing what the dial, bezel, bracelet and case are made of.
4. Features/Functions

The features and functions of a some watches go far beyond telling time.
5. The Bezel

There are many types of bezel, often distinctly associated with a watch brand.
9 Questions To Ask Yourself About A Replica Watch Site
• Are their pictures of their own watches?
Look for watermarks with their logo on them. But remember that watermarks can be removed so this is no guarantee. I always look for continuity on a website. Does every watch have similar pictures and the same number of pictures? Were they taken by the same photographer. Remember stealing pictures is very common on replica sites so beware! Also look at the original (Rolex.com or whatever) to see if they’ve taken them from there. You can also do an image search and see if the same images come up on other sites. And finally, call and ask!
• Do they have close up pictures of the watch from all sides?
Don’t buy what you can’t see. Seems obvious but there’s a direct parallel between the sites that don’t have clear pictures of the back, side, and close ups of the dial, and the sites selling crap. If they’re willing to prove it on the site, odds are they’ve got something worth proving.
• Is it Swiss, Japanese, or “other” replica—and is it priced accordingly?
Swiss replica refers to watches for which the movement was manufactured in Switzerland. They range from $400 – $800 because they are extremely well made. Japanese replica range around $150 – $250, look and feel like the real thing, but differ in terms of some of the materials. The “other” refers to all the rest—the junk thrown together wherever that’s never really going to pass for an authentic, toys essentially. Nothing wrong with them, just don’t end up paying Swiss price for something like this.
• Have you looked at the original vendor’s site and compared the watch model?
The modern world has made it easy for you. Find the watch you want, then find it on the original watchmaker’s site if you can. Compare. Look at the functions, coloring, materials, weight, and markings.
• Is the lens sapphire crystal, or at least scratch-proof glass?
High quality replica come with sapphire crystal lens, meaning they’re virtually scratch-proof and anti-reflective. Worst case scenario you end up with a glass that cracks, scratches and blinds you with sun reflection every time you look at it—so, look into this!
• Are their prices realistic for what they’re claiming to sell?
Have a look at the price ranges I listed above, now make sure what you’re buying is priced accordingly. The worst thing is a site selling plastic, calling it Swiss replica and charging several hundred dollars for it. The second worse thing is a site that claims to be selling solid gold watches but for $75 a pop. Analyze what they’re telling you, think about what you should be getting for $200, or $600—then challenge them on it if necessary.
• Do they have a warranty and guarantee?
They have to. Enough said. Don’t buy anywhere where they won’t guarantee quality, and allow you to return it for a refund if you’re not happy.
• Is the watch size and weight the same as the original?
This is what you can’t tell by looking at the pictures, so make sure they list the size and weight, then compare it to the original. If you’re serious about having a replica that faithfully matches the authentic, you have to consider size and weight.
• How long have they been in business?
Read the About Us page. Also, look for news or reviews in a Google search. If a site just popped up out of nowhere you have to be wary that they’re not one of the opportunists that doesn’t know a thing, but thought they’d make a quick buck. If they’ve been around 5 years, odds are they’ve done something right, but still—look into their testimonials and reviews. The internet is the best place for scammers to change the face of their business repeatedly to avoid being accountable for something or other.
Where to Buy Replica Watches Online
Now, the whole point of the shopping guide would be undermined if I were to just tell you where to shop. In the end all I can tell you is what I like, or what sites came through for me. The point is supposed to be to arm you with a little knowledge so you can spot the good, the bad and the ugly on your own. That said I can give you a few places to start, but I highly recommend you keep digging on your own because I haven’t been able to cram everything I’ve learned into this one little article.
As some of you will know, I’m partial to a few mall sites like:
• Replicavalley.com
• Replicavision.com
Having shopped there so much for purses, it was easy for me to delve into the watches knowing I wasn’t going to get ripped off—and more importantly I went right at them with a million questions, having some experience with their staff. I’m happy to say they came through with flying colours.
Another site I had a really great experience with is:
Having not shopped at nearly as many replica watches sites as handbags, I’m extra interested in what readers think here:
• What sites do you recommend?
• What sites should people avoid?
• What advice have I missed?

Hi Sophia this is funny coincidence cos i was about to ask you for your watches experiences, did yours work ok?
I like rolex but the more “vintage” or retro look models, i bought the airking model with the black dial, stainless steel …with “Italyan” jewel (paid 175$+freight) at a site that doesn’t exist any longer ( but when i bought it ( 7 months ago ) it was open for few years. Anyway at the beginning the watch didn’t work so good the automatic movement stopped sometimes, and then just when i was going to buy a new one, this time with the “swiss” jewel ( much better quality) mine started to work just fine, i moved a lot my arm and it’s been working perfect now for 2 or 3 months.
For what i’ve been reading in forums http://www.centralwatches.com is very good place also they confirmed that the swiss mechanism on their watches is one of the best but i didn’t try them yet.
Me too i will like to ear more comments, cos probably i will buy a new one some time soon.
Like I said, I`m not a pro when it comes to watches, but sure you guys can change impressions here upon this topic.

Wow Sofia! I think you were reading my mind too! I have been seriously considering getting a Cartier watch from replicavalley, but was kind of on the fence. I had actually come on here to see if you had done a site review on a watch/jewelry site. I’m so happy to have a direction to go in now and feel more confident about purchasing a replica watch. Thanks so much!
My pleasure Callie!

Hey Sofia,
I am searching for a replica Rado watch, the Sintra model to be exact, yet not a lot of confirmed sites offer them… Could someone tell me if they have any experience with buying watches and from where? I would like to know if this site is legit (www.sellreplicawatch.com).
Thank you for your answers!
Unfortunately, I am not experienced with watches, but I`m aware of this one site that my husband keeps buying from which is http://www.perfectwatches.net
Hi, I checked the website perfectwatches.net and they have a fairly limited offer of watches. Plus, yes, they have many original photos of the articles but I would appreciate better zoom options – its especially important with watches… So, Im still very hesitant about it
My husband always gets his watches from there. He`s been very satisfied with every purchase of his
