My girlfriend Jessica looked just like this Maggie muse once up on the Nova Scotia Coast
Every so often I bore of my Gucci and Louis bags and I get my little heart set on the world of Coach purses again. How the heck do I always forget how much I love Coach purses? This Fall when my seasonal awakening to Coach knockoff happened I went on a little Coach pilgrimage and ended up in love with the Maggie collection.
Looking at this ad for the Maggie line, I was also struck dumb by how much the muse looks like one my best girlfriends Jessica from a day we spent up at her parent’s place in Antigonish, Nova Scotia! She had dressed up in an old tutu she found and bounced around on the lawn like an awkward but strangely elegant child. Uncanny!
My Favorite Coach Handbags From the 2009 Maggie Line
Anyway, it’s Coach purses you’re interested in, not my old friend, so let’s get to my favorites from this fall’s collection already!
The Ruby
I happen to have another dear friend named Ruby. So many coincidences here! This Coach Ruby is just the right balance of sophistication and edge for me. It’s a gorgeous mix of leather textures with the two front pockets and large buckle down the middle. It’s a mature look like most Coach purses, but I could see the young ladies pulling this off as well. The Ruby Hobo below is 16 inches in length, 14 inches in height, and 7 inches depth. It’s expensive for Coach at $898 so you might want to find a replica.

The Large Maggie Tote
This might be my favorite look of all, especially in this gorgeous grey leather. A simple, sloping Hobo design, the large tote is way up there on the chic rating. It tucks beautifully up under the shoulder, it’s comfortable, it’s big, and it’s sexy as all hell, without being overt. I’d wear it to any office job, and then out for drinks. Wouldn’t you? The Large Maggie Tote below is 15 inches in length, 8 ½ inches in height, and 6 ¼ inches in depth.

The Tribeca Tote
“Tribeca” for those who don’t know it is a neighbourhood in lower Manhattan. This bag is designed with that downtown, business formal look in mind. Plain black is dressed up with a little shimmer, the signature CC’s and a round, (if a little bulky) shape. The Tribeca Shoulder Bag below is 13 ¾ inches in length, 11 ¼ inches in height, and 6 ½ inches in depth.
