Who knew Playboy had a purses line?

Lately I’ve discovered the nudey empire has branched out to include handbags that look an awful lot like Chanel replica handbags. Some seem inspired by Gucci, and a touch of Prada here and there, but it’s clear that Chanel is Hugh Hefner’s major purse inspiration.

So does this mean the Sultan of sex culture takes Chanel to be the sexiest purse designer? I mean a Playboy purse should be sexy right? Or is it just a novelty style, with a logo slapped on it? After having a look at the Playboy purse designs out there I’d say they’re certainly Chanel inspired but nowhere near as desirable as the average Chanel or Louis Vuitton replica.

Chanel inspired purses with the Playboy logo are all over E-bay these days. At first I couldn’t sort out if the actual Playboy designs were Chanel imitations or if they were replicas that were kind of mixing Chanel elements like the quilted lambskin with the bunny logo. It turns out they are actual Playboy designs…with a very obvious inspiration.

Louis Vuitton Replica Bunny Ears?

It turns out the chain of imitation goes full circle. Not only does Playboy design Chanel imitation handbags, but you can buy Playboy replica purses that copy the bunny designs. I also came across some high fashion clothing designs inspired by Playboy. A little more digging and I came across some Louis Vuitton replica bunny ears, a Marc Jacobs design inspired by the early Playboy bunnies costume.

Jacobs came across the idea for the bunny ears by accident, saying an aid was tying some fabric around a models head and it looked a little like rabbit ears, and it struck him that it was exactly what they needed to complete the look.

While I like Louis Vuitton’s rabbit ears style, I’m not so keen on the imitation going in the opposite direction. I think Playboy could have done better if they wanted to delve into designer purses. Chanel imitation may be a good fit for Playboy handbags, but I don’t think they’ve done it very well.
