The Louis Vuitton Nightbird Pochette recreates many of the same themes for LV’s Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection including the geometric-ethnic print. I love the print and the colours. It definitely has a really youthful feel to it which in moderation can look nice on a woman (even at my age!)

I had a riot writing this article. Here’s the idea: First I picked the 3 ladies I feel are most likely to win the best actress award at the Oscars next week. (Don’t agree? I’d love to debate this one, I get so excited for the Oscars!) Then I did a little style profile of them, as well as their character in the movie. Then I picked a handbag designer and style for each. I should be a film stylist! I just loved it. So, which leading lady are you? A casual Ms. Bullock? A royal Ms. Streep, or a boyish, art school Carey Mulligan? Are you all about Gucci handbags? Louis Vuitton handbags? Or is it Burberry for you?

Louis Vuitton’s latest collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, called the Cosmic Blossom Collection, is causing some serious buzz. Murakami is responsible for the fabulous Louis Vuitton Multicolore Monogram line, which I adore, so I couldn’t wait to take a look at their most recent collaboration. Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, this new line of Louis Vuitton handbags isn’t quite the parade of masterpieces that the Multicolore line was.

Like the girls of SATC I don't want to abandon my fashion sense just because I am a Mom!
Generally, when I sit to write a blog post about the perfect replica handbag or where to find that rare Louis Vuitton handbag no one else can track down, my kids are nearby. Whether they’re in my office playing [hello apple juice encrusted keyboard], or removing each pot from the kitchen cupboard 1 item at a time, these articles get done in an atmosphere of chaos.
Therefore I think it’s only time we take a peek at my tips for keeping it together fashion-wise while parenting. Yes folks, being a Yummy Mummy is definitely achievable.

Rest in Peace
The fashion world lost a true original this month. Alexander McQueen, known as one of the fashion world’s edgiest bad boys was found dead due to an apparent suicide by hanging at his home on Feb 11. He was 40. His death followed the passing of his mother earlier in the year, as well as his mentor’s suicide in 2007. I thought it would be important to dedicate a post to the passing of one of fashion’s greatest and most interesting characters, who contributed so much to the fashion world, and in particular to the Gucci brand.
