Lately, Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest “replica ego”, Bruno has been spotted everywhere with his Gucci Messenger Bag front and center. The fake Gucci loving star has been sashaying around to his multiple media events getting a laugh out of Gucci with his high fashion/gay culture/comedy/Hollywood stardom mish-mash look. What a weird day it is when I post a picture in which the man is fake, and the Gucci bag is real!

The photo above kills me. How Sacha Baron Cohen can pull off such a facial expression, and that kind of fashion without making himself laugh hysterically is beyond me. What make me laugh the most is that it’s not his Gucci Man bag that’s fake, it’s the man, and he’s got all the designer handbags bloggers eating it up. Hilarious. How could we resist?

Fake Star Wearing Fake Gucci?

It’s hard to tell, especially in this picture where the Gucci Messenger bag is tucked behind him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if part of the Baron Cohen shtick was to use a replica handbag for these photo ops….seems a little more shock friendly, no?

Bruno’s fashion actually reminds me of Lady Gaga who I just wrote about the other day—hilariously bad outfit, with a gorgeous replica Gucci handbag (in her case it is Fendi) in hand. Is this a style now? The purposely unfashionable, or mock fashion, mixed with a high end handbag to make it all seem a little serious and subversive? I mean don’t you take Bruno a little more seriously that he’s dressed in Gucci?

Serious or not, this is the funniest use of a fake Gucci bag I’ve ever seen.
