Angelina Jolie looks the part of the evil murderess wife for the Gucci film..

Have you heard about this? There’s a film currently in the works that will air out the loads upon loads of dirty Gucci family laundry that accumulated during the scandalous 90’s that had the fashion house daily in the tabloids. Remember the mobster laden, backstabbing, murderous decade of the Gucci family?

The film centres around Patrizia Reggiani, the ill-hearted wife of then Gucci handbags boss Maurizio Gucci who successfully hired hit men to murder him, presumably for a variety of jealousy, bitterness, and money grubbing reasons. The latest news is that the Ridley Scott directed film entitled simply Gucci, will feature Angelina Jolie in the lead—a great choice considering how much of a Gucci handbags lover she is. It also struck me when looking at the above picture how much she looks the part. Not to be cruel (I would never!) but doesn’t she kinda look like the evil wife of a billionaire in this picture?

This latest luxury designer inspired film (among a recent list that includes the Coco Chanel flick, a Tom Ford feature, The September Issue, and of course, The Devil Wears Prada) is also rumoured to feature Leonardo Dicaprio as Maurizio. Hot!

Besides making a great conniving wife Jolie has long been the perfect kind of Gucci girl, with that sort of bad ass look that she loves— the big Gucci sunglasses, the leather, and the mix of motorcycle babe and prom queen style that she pulls off so well. When Audrey Tautou starred as Coco Chanel last year it was clear that there was a bit of a corporate plan there to have her star in the drama, then come out a sort of icon or face of Chanel. In this case I’m doubtful that Gucci could spin that kind of outcome given that rather than playing the designer, Jolie is actually playing the murderess of the company boss. Tough sell. At any rate. It’s already got me and thousands of others buzzing about Angelina’s Gucci handbags style. How could you resist? She nails the look.
