So, to follow up my “Top Five Eccentric Bags” post, which I’ll admit was just for kicks, I’ve prepared a top five replica handbags for spring 2010, that you might actually wear…not to say that I’d frown for a second on any gal that decided to rock that Chanel flowers purse…all the power to ya! Beubag.com is a site that a lot of my readers have been asking about and 1 or 2 have told me is worth trying. At first I thought it was really cheap until I realized all the prices were in pounds. And that’s what designers are doing now more than ever: reinventing old tried and true designer handbags like the Louis Vuitton Speedy and Gucci Bamboo. If you look at this year’s collections, they’re chock full of old classics. Critics might say that this trend reflects a lack of originality, but I happen to love seeing all of my favorite handbags reinterpreted from season to season. One of the things I look forward to each fashion week is seeing what my favourite designers Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Gucci have done this year to their classic handbags.
Recently, rumors were circulating about Karl Lagerfeld retiring from his post as head designer for Chanel. Well, thankfully, those rumors have been dispelled as false by the fashion house. As a huge fan of Lagerfeld’s Chanel handbags, I couldn’t be more pleased to hear that this gossip was unfounded. According to a Chanel representative, “Karl Lagerfeld is the creative designer of Chanel and has a long-term contract with the company. Replacing him is not an issue.” Thank God! He’s one of the most important designers of the 20th and early 21st century. And although he’s getting a little old, I’m sure he has a hell of a lot more to offer—and the 2010 replica Chanel handbag collections are proof of that.
I know some of you are going to think I’ve lost my marbles here, but that’s kinda the point…I’ve gotta have a little fun with you sometimes! I’ve been loving going through all the new spring styles this week (kind of ironic since the weather is finally warming and I’m inside oozing over handbags online). Soon it’ll be time to get out in that fresh air and strut! So, what to wear?
